Hi, I am Marci and I am the artist behind Kokoru Ceramics. I reside in the beautiful rolling hills of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA.

I fell in love with clay when I was 4-years-old. I didn't make a single piece of artwork during those years. Instead, I would spend the entire time with my arms deeply immersed in the huge slop buckets of clay. I had found my bliss.

The first time I pressed leaves into clay, I heard an answer to a long-held question I didn’t even know I had bubbling inside me.

My pottery explores the relationship between the fragility and change found in nature ~ the rhythm and cycles of the seasons, of growth and decay ~ and the longevity and lasting quality of botanical imprints.

Like a fossil, my ceramics are a portal into the past offering long-gone moments of aliveness eternally preserved.

My pieces connect you with the mystery of time itself ~ all while beautifying and enriching your environment in an intimate and personal way that you can hold in your hand.

I find so much joy, awe, and humility encountering the beautiful imperfect perfection of the natural world.

I am captivated by the tiniest unfolding of a fern spiraling into newness ~ discovering the unique personality of each plant, each leaf, each seed pod ~ the sensation of running my hand across a blanket of moss.

My ceramics crystallize this love and sensitivity in ways that evoke delight and our shared connection to the natural world.
